A silver eevee stepped onto Raden Cliff. Morph looked around, bad memories entering his mind. This was where Gem, the former deputy of Rath, had plunged to her death among the rocks below the cliff a while ago. Every time he set foot here, the same things entered his mind, and he shuddered. He had no clue why his paws kept leading him here, but he just shrugged. Deciding to spend his time practicing his morphing powers, he morphed into a shiny umbreon, then to a shiny espeon, and then to a glaceon. He stayed in the glaceon morph for now, as morphing tired him out. Morph glanced around, wondering if anyone was here, or if he was just alone.

"I'll get you, mouse... Oh yes, I'll get you." The words were whispered, almost too quietly to hear, and yet the mouse heard. As it started to scramble away, the one who had whispered bounded after it, not wanting to let it get away. She held her breath, even though there was no doubting the mouse had heard her at that point, and then let it out as she fell, tumbling out of a bush that had hid her from the other pokemon there.
Snowstorm, the sandshrew, tumbled for a moment, but there was no risk of her falling over the cliff. Once she stopped, she climbed to her paws. Her white fur was covered in dirt. She shook it off the best she could, and then noticed the other pokemon. Not expecting to see anyone else there, she yelped, hopping back and accidently falling onto her back in the progress. The small creature rolled onto her stomach and back to her paws, before turning and starring at the Rath Clan deputy.

Startled, Morph stumbled backwards, switching to his fastest morph, the jolteon. His now-green fur bristled, but when he discovered that the sandshrew was merely a Naroken apprentice, he calmed down. So much for having that 'respected deputy' image... I've just made a fool of myself... great, just great... The truth was, though he was of a great level, he was still very young, so he didn't act with great pride as pokemon of his rank usually did. He hesitantly asked, "Eh... who are you...?"

The sandshrew let out a small yelp. Hadn't he been a glaceon, just a minute ago? She shook her head. She must have seen things. She took a step back, startled when the jolteon spoke to her. "I'm... Uh... I..." She paused, swallowing hard and taking a deep breath. "My name is Snowstorm. I am a Naroken apprentice and level five." She stated, not sounding proud of her level. "Who... Are you?" She asked, staring at him curiously.

Morph blinked. "Uh... I'm Morph... I'm the Rath Deputy, level 70..." He sat down, trying to hide his embarrassment at being startled by her. He wondered how a sandshrew could be black and white, but then remembered that not all eevees could morph, like him. It's amazing how many pokemon there are with colors or powers different from their original species... He thought. "What were you doing here?" He asked, trying to act as a normal deputy would, even though he was probably the same age as her, which only made him even more embarrassed.
